Taiwan International ESP Journal (TIESPJ)


Aims and Scope:

The Taiwan International ESP Journal is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Taiwan ESP Association and has been listed in THCI. Its primary objective is to disseminate scholarly information on research and development in the field of English for Specific Purposes worldwide, and to provide a bridge between theory and practice. The journal welcomes year-round submissions and contributions that address the common professional concerns of both practitioners and researchers. The journal also publishes reviews of scholarly books on topics of interest to the profession.

The journal is published biannually in June and December, and focuses primarily on the following areas of inquiry and development in ESP: EAP (English for Academic Purposes) and EOP (English for Occupational Purposes); ESP Initiatives; ESP Teacher Training; Discourse/Genre Analysis; Materials/Course Design; ESP Methodology; Assessment and Evaluation; and Global EIL English.


Guidelines for Authors

Submission of articles and reviews:

Articles should be submitted electronically to Each article will be reviewed anonymously by at least two experts in the field. Reviews of books are normally by invitation.
